The U.S. Dept. of State requires up to 4-6 weeks for export licensing decisions. The “3% Upcharge” portion of the Export Service Fee goes to the U.S. Department of State as part of our Registration fees. Canadian-side customer (importer) is responsible for (1) obtaining an International Import Certificate (IIC) from Foreign Affairs & International Trade Canada (application link) (PDF instructions link), (2) issuing a Purchase Order stating their desired purchase, whether directly from Dave’s Sports Shop, or a transfer of a firearm purchased through another U.S. FFL Dealer, and (3) for complying with all Canadian importing, possession, transportation, storage and acquisition laws, including registering of the firearm in the Canadian Firearms Centre database and possession of a current Possession and Acquisition License (PAL).
